Are you tired of searching for your green fourth gear die?   Do your friends always throw the sixth gear dice way too far from you?  Also what about the third gear red die that you saw last about 8 months ago when one of your friends hit a homerun with it, just because he thought you made a voodoo call and that was why he missed the last turn. Or do you simply lose a die because (add your story: child lost it, dog ate it, an alien took it, someone stole the fifth gear to play D&D...etc...etc...

All these reasons are good, or it may be simply because you like to play with more dice around the table.
